The birds are in, the new bar is ready, and the new season is taking shape at Loyton
With summer in full swing, there’s a growing sense of anticipation and excitement across the valleys of Exmoor—as we look ahead to the return of the shooting season.
We’re thrilled to share that the birds have now arrived across all of our estates. It’s always a moment of quiet excitement as our carefully reared gamebirds are gradually released into their new homes. From that first flutter in the cover crops to their confident strut through the woodland rides, everything is now underway for another remarkable season.
A new look at Loyton Lodge
Back at Loyton Lodge, things have been just as busy. Over the summer, we’ve been giving our much-loved home a little refresh.
We’re proud to unveil a newly decorated bar and dining room, designed to give you an even warmer welcome throughout your stay.
Whether you’re sharing stories over a local ale by the fire or enjoying one of our long-table suppers, the Lodge remains a place where friendships are forged and memories made.
Welcoming Katie and Stewart
We’re also delighted to welcome two fantastic new additions to the Loyton Sporting team:
Katie, our new Shoot Coordinator, whom many of you will get to know well. She will be taking care of all of your individual requirements from arrival to departure and will coordinate every aspect of your stay for a flawless and memorable experience.
And Stewart joins us as the Estates Manager, bringing a wealth of experience and a meticulous eye to the work that goes into each estate, ensuring a fantastic and successful season ahead.
Their arrival marks an exciting chapter for Loyton Sporting—rooted in the same values, but with fresh energy and a shared passion for creating outstanding days in the field.
